Dr. Azaan Ramani is a board-certified gastroenterologist serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex at Texas Digestive Disease Consultants in Southlake and Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine. His practice spans the full breadth of gastroenterology and hepatology — colon cancer prevention, advanced endoscopy, fatty liver disease, gut microbiome health, and GLP-1 medication management — with a strong emphasis on preventive care and personalized, evidence-based decision-making.
Dr. Ramani's outpatient practice is built around longitudinal patient relationships and high-volume endoscopic care. He performs colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD), capsule endoscopy, and a range of advanced therapeutic procedures across BSW Grapevine and the Texas Digestive Disease Consultants Southlake endoscopy center.

Dr. Ramani completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, his Internal Medicine residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas where he served as Chief Resident, and his Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition fellowship at UTHealth Houston where he was Chief Fellow and a 2023 inductee of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), the national medical honor society.

Dr. Ramani has authored or co-authored 9 peer-reviewed and indexed publications in journals including Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Digestive Diseases and Sciences, European Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Annals of Hepatology, and Clinical Transplantation, as well as a 2023 preprint on AI-assisted medical question answering (arXiv:2310.11266).
He has presented original research at national meetings of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), including a 2019 Presidential Poster of Distinction at The Liver Meeting in Boston.
